My Passion Returns

This might be one of the most personal artist’s comments I’ve ever put down before. Even before I went to Acen I’d more or less lost my passion for taking photos. I went to see Mooglegurl pretty much out of obligation, and was relieved when she told me she couldn’t model for me. My camera, which was normally in my hand through out 80% of the con, only appeared about 20% of this con.

In truth it’s so hard to really find good places to get photos where you won’t have people walking into the photos, or interrupting the backgrounds. I would rather get together with people outside of the cons to do photo shoots, where more interesting background can be found, and even if you were the same outfit or costume you can use different scenery to make a more stunning photo.

Two things brought me back. The first was the Optimus Prime costume I saw on Saturday night. I’ll post a couple images in the scrapes section later. I couldn’t get anywhere to get good photos, but the costume was awesome.

The second thing was running into Eve on the way out of the convention. I was at the con with Cheshires-Grin and SFLiminality and SFL asked her for a chance to get some photos. I figured I’d join in.

Well, not only was Eve beautiful, She was a lot of fun as well. She did a wonderful job posing, and has one of the most radiant smiles I’ve even had the pleasure of beholding. I could have spent hours on a photo shoot with her, but none of us had that kind of time. I hope I see her at another Convention or better yet, around town to do a photo shoot.

So I must officially say, Thank You Eve, for helping me find my passion for photography again. I appreciate it.
